With the authorization of CAMMESA, Genneia, the leading renewable energy company in Argentina began operating on Saturday its Vientos de Necochea Wind Farm (38 MW)
_____
This is the seventh active wind of Genneia in operation and the second in the Province of Buenos Aires, which allowed the company to reach a capacity of 600 MW and 700 MW of renewable energy (solar + wind). The project was awarded in Round 1.5 of RenovAr and required an investment of over 60 million.
Eleven wind turbines are Vestas technology over a 158 hectares area in Punta Negra. For its privileged position, Vientos de Necochea have the capacity to annually produce 158,000 MW of clean energy, equivalent to the consumption of 52,000 households. His partner in this project is the firm Central Atlantic Coast, the company that provides energy to the part of Mar de Plata, Costa Township, Mar de Ajo, Villa Gesell and Necochea.
Genneia currently has an operational power generation capacity of over 1,200 MW, which aims to further increase during 2020 through the construction of Chubut Norte III (57 MW) and Chubut Norte IV (83 MW) together with PAE; and Chubut Norte II (26 MW) project destined for the Term Market Renewable Energy, bound for private clients.
