Vientos de Necochea wind project today received the first tranche of a loan of 51 million dollars will be allocated for construction and operational start. The disbursement was made by the development bank FMO Dutch and has EKF guarantee, the credit bureau to Danish export.
The credit is Project Finance for a period of 15 years this means that your repayment is backed solely by the cash flow generated by the park, once in operation. Given the high initial investment required for infrastructure and energy projects, such financing is key to enabling the development of renewable centers in Argentina.
It awarded in Round 1.5 of RenovAr, Vientos de Necochea wind project is a joint venture Genneia and Central Coast. It takes place in a 158 hectares area in Punta Negra, 15 km to the south of the city of Necochea. Its 11 turbines will generate 158,000 MW annually, equivalent to produce clean energy for more than 52,000 households, avoiding the emission of 79,000 tons of CO2.
Once operational, it will be the seventh wind farm renewable Genneia and its second center in the province of Buenos Aires.
