Every June 5th in the world celebrates the Day of the Environment. Declared by the United Nations General Assembly intended to sensitize the world population on environmental issues, the date is not random: it was the day he began the Earth Summit in Stockholm in 1972. Exactly 40 years later, nor it was born Genneia chance: that day we begin to tread a path of commitment to the development of clean technologies and responsible generation of electricity with the care of the environment.
His first witness: the operational implementation, that same year, the Rawson Wind Farm, one of the first centers of large-scale wind generation in supplying the SADI.
Eight years later, we celebrate those foundational 83,65MW renewable power eightfold, 700 MW are an achievement of our entire team, and an achievement for a society increasingly aware of the need to be sustainable. Here is a summary that provides inspiration to keep dedicated to this path.
Day of th Wind
This month, do not stop to celebrate: June 15 is the Day of the Wind, the main source of our energy and strength of our leadership. And we anticipate the celebration recalling the importance of this vital resource:
- Wind energy: not pollute, is inexhaustible and reduces the use of fossil fuels .
- Maritime Navigation: Key in the exploration and discovery of the world .
- seed Transport: vital for pollination of plant species .
- Moving clouds: essential to give continuity to the hydrological cycle .
- Operation mills: base of the economy in many agricultural communities .
For these and many other reasons: Happy Day of the Wind!
