It is a forum where the most important companies and people in the business and political sphere gather together to discuss about the agreements that Argentina should pursue for a more sustainable future.

Under the motto: “Let’s Make Argentina Sustainable,” the 57th IDEA Seminar was held at Centro Costa Salguero from October 13 to 15, 2021. And the carbon footprint of the event, which included previous organization, was estimated by the specialized consultancy company ProSustentia.

In this way, Genneia delivered to IDEA the cancellation certificates including the equivalent carbon tons resulting from the environmental contribution, as internationally assessed and certified, from the Rawson Wind Farm in Chubut.

“Once again, we assumed a key commitment to environmental protection by offsetting, for the third year in a row, the carbon footprint of the IDEA Seminar. As a social player it is important to leave this message to the private sector about the new sustainable business model and bet on and support the greatest challenge faced by humanity in the future: combatting the climate crisis,” pointed out Gustavo Castagnino, Corporate Affairs and Sustainability Director at Genneia.

Similarly to the IDEA Seminar, Genneia has already voluntarily offset the footprint of other events organized by the IDB, the World Economic Forum, the World Travel & Tourism Council, the Córdoba Open ATP 250, the B Corporations Conference, Argentina Makes an Impact in San Juan, in addition to playing a leading role in the largest sale of CERs in the history of our country to the company Natura.
