Rawson Wind Park (PER), the largest of Argentina overcame, last June, the million MWh of clean energy generation since its commissioning and commercial operation in January 2012. The high intensity of the winds in the northwest of Chubut during the last month, allowed, on 25 June last, the PER exceeded the barrier of 1 terawatt-hour accumulated historical generation. This energy, produced entirely from the wind resource, the country earned him a savings of US $ 250,000,000 in fuel imports and a reduction of 680,000 tons of CO2 emissions into the atmosphere. As regards performance during 2015, the PER delivered 141,500 MWh of renewable energy to the national interconnected system, making it the best quarter in its history. And forecasts of wind generation for the remainder of the year fulfilled, the wind farm Genneia would be reaching a generation of 290,000 MWh of wind power, equivalent to a capacity factor Net of 44%, an indicator that is almost double the world average. With these numbers, about 100,000 households in Argentina are consuming renewable energy produced in our wind farm.
