Is the Madryn Wind Farm, with the commercial operation stage II, became a true emblem of wind energy in Argentina

On September 27 we inaugurated the second phase of the Madryn Wind Park located in the province of Chubut. With its commissioning, and with stage I opened in November last year, started to inject clean energy to the Argentine Interconnection System (SADI). This milestone is one of the most important Genneia since ratified as a visionary company and expert in projects generating green energy.
Madryn Wind Farm is the largest operation in Argentina with an installed capacity of 220 MW and electricity supply capacity to 330,000 homes today. It has 132 turbines that transform the Patagonian wind in particular, clean and sustainable energy.
Its construction required an investment of USD 320 million, an extraordinary work carried out in record time also involved the launch of a transformer station 500kV, unique in its kind.
This wind farm is our fourth active in the province of Chubut, where we also operate Rawson wind farms (108 MW), Chubut Norte (38MW) and Trelew (50 MW); and developing projects for more than 160 MW.
Seasons moving: already operating the switching station Puerto Madryn
After hard work we put in activity 500/132 kV Transformer Station in Puerto Madryn. This work is very important because through this station can transform energy and dispatch it from our wind farms Madryn, Chubut Trelew to North and across the country. Construction, installation and commissioning of the station is a joint development of Genneia and the company Goldwind to Transener. Innovative work, including strategic partners, which was able to operate one of the largest equipment installed in the country and which now draws Madryn Wind Park recently opened.
