The Lincoln Solar Project was awarded in 2023 under the RenMDI distributed generation program, and has supply contracts (PPA) signed with CAMMESA for a period of 15 years. The farm is designed to replace forced thermal generation at the node, providing efficient energy to the national electric system.
The farm is located on a 46-hectare area, and is situated on Provincial Route No. 50, 5.5 km northeast of Lincoln city. Development required an investment of over US$ 20 million and, at its peak in construction, employed more than 150 people. Its start of operations is scheduled for the first half of 2026.
