The Junín Solar Project was awarded in 2023 under the RenMDI distributed generation program, and has supply contracts (PPA) signed with CAMMESA for a period of 15 years. The farm was created with the purpose of replacing forced thermal generation at the node, and providing efficient energy to the national electricity system.
The farm is located on an area of 50 hectares situated in a rural zone, 4 km from Junín city and 4 km from Agustín Roca town. Its development required an investment of over US$ 20 million and, at its peak in construction, provided employment for more than 150 people. The start of operations is scheduled for the first half of 2026.
