Chubut Norte Wind Farm is a renewable centre developed in 4 stages. Chubut Norte I (29MW) has been in operation since December 2018. For its construction, Genneia got financing for US$ 46 million, under Project Finance framework, granted by Coporación Andina de Fomento, the agency of credit EKF (Denmark), and the banks FMO (Holland) and Sumitomo Mitsui (Japan).

The remaining stages were opened at the beginning of 2021. Chubut Norte II (26 MW) was originated by a Sales to Private and Great Users agreement. For the development of Chubut Norte III and IV (140MW), Genneia made a partnership with Pan American Energy and got financing for US$ 97 million, under Project Finance framework, grated by the German bank of development KFW, with the guarantee of the German agency of credits to exportation Euler Hermes.

With a certified saving of 58,000 t of C02 emissions per year, as from 2020 Chubut Norte I is authorized by the organization Verified Carbon Standard to issue Reduction Emissions Certificates.

The load factor of Chubut Norte Wind Farm is among the highest in the world, in all stages of the centre: Chubut Norte I: 50.9%; Chubut Norte II: 54.4%; Chubut Norte III: 53.3%; Chubut Norte IV: 52.8%.
