La Elbita Wind Farm Project was originated to satisfy the energy demand of large industrial users, within the framework of the Renewable Energy Term Market. Its development will require an investment of more than 240 million dollars, obtained by the company through the issuance of negotiable obligations classified as green bonds.
The wind farm will be located on a 1,464-hectare piece of land, located approximately 42 km south of the city of Tandil. The project also contemplates the construction of an Electrical Transformer Station that will allow energy to be evacuated to the grid. Its commercial operation date is projected for end-2024.
Wind is a natural, renewable and non-polluting source of energy.
Each Megawatt/Hour of electricity generated by wind power, instead of gas or coal, avoids the emission of approx. 0.5 ton of CO2 into the atmosphere.
