While we keep with delivery of food parcels for volunteers of Vicente Lopez City Hall, we gave a donation to Protected Workshop and Residency “Una Caricia al Corazón” in Villalonga.
____
As from pandemic beginning, we commit ourselves to provide quick, sustained and real impact answers to welfare of our closest communities. An expression of such commitment was to accompany volunteers of Vicente Lopez City Hall (Buenos Aires) – responsible for the preparation of food parcels delivered at community based kitchens and among vulnerable families – with the delivery of food parcels for their consumption during their volunteering working day.
Today we are glad to say that Genneia has delivered more than 5000 food portions to all those ones devoting time and effort to such admirable and urgent cause in these days.
In Villalonga
Last November 14th we celebrated 90 years of Villalonga City – home of first Genneia wind farm in the province of Buenos Aires - with a new support signal to the community. Through our sustainability team, we gave a donation to Villalonga Protected Workshop and Residency, “Una Caricia al Corazón”.
This entity has been providing support and shelter to disabled children and adults for more than 30 years, through a wide range of workshops, like suing for the production of cloths, aprons and towels, assembly of brushes, paper recycling and cuts of garbage bags. All products are later sold to shops and neighbours. It also owns a grannies residency where there are currently 12 people living in, not only from Villalonga, but also from neighbouring towns. “We need caress in these moments in which we are more fragile”, people expressed form the entity, thankful for the donation.
