The Anchoris Solar Farm was originated to satisfy the energy demand of large industrial users, within the framework of the Renewable Energy Term Market. Located in the department of Luján de Cuyo, province of Mendoza, its development required an investment of more than 160 million dollars and, at its construction peak, employed more than 350 people.
The solar farm is sited on a 395-hectare piece of land on National Route 40, in the town of Carrizal, approximately 30 km south of the departmental capital. The location has the evacuation capacity of the electrical network and horizontal global irradiation of considerable value, both conditions for the construction of a project of this type. Operations began on August 5, 2025.
The photovoltaic panels of the Anchoris Solar Project feature bifacial technology, which captures direct sunlight as well as the reflection from the ground, allowing energy generation to increase by up to 10%.
The photovoltaic modules are mounted on trackers that allow better use of the solar resource.
It is a mobile structure with an axis oriented NS, which will allow the monitoring of solar rays in the East-West direction for different hours of the day.
